GBJ Payroll Limited is under a legal obligation to comply with privacy requirements for everyone who accesses our websites and uses our services. We ensure we take care and attention in the way we process your information.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

To register with careerprivacy.com you need provide as a minimum an email address and password and agree to our Terms and Conditions in addition to this privacy policy.

Any personal information you provide to us (including special category data) will be processed by careerprivacy.com (who will be the data controller for these purposes) for the purpose of providing you with career opportunities and an opportunity to interact with potential employers. By using this website and agreeing to this privacy policy, you are agreeing to such processing. It will not be shared with further third parties for any other purpose without your express consent or a provision or obligation of the Law being met.

Having registered with careerprivacy.com you are provided with the option of adding to your profile. You can add your career status, career interests, education, qualifications, skills, work history and remuneration expectations. You may also enter various other information at your discretion within free text fields.

By default the following fields are not visible within your profile to others:

Name

Profile Picture

Age

Gender

Names of Previous Employers

You may receive direct requests for enhanced access to your profile (a “Full Profile” request) from organisations using Career Privacy including those with recruitment requirements. It is at your discretion as to whether you provide enhanced access to your profile including your name, profile picture and names of previous employers. Your email address is not disclosed to recruiters on careerprivacy.com at any time. You may receive requests from recruiters to be notified when you have a change of career status, for example when you are actively looking for a new position (a “Watchlist” request). It is at your discretion as to whether you provide watchlist access to your profile. You can disable Full Profile and Watchlist profile access at any time.

Any information that you upload using our services is covered by this Privacy Policy and Career Privacy Terms and Conditions. You can request your profile be removed at any time by emailing us at unsubscribe@careerprivacy.com.

We collect information when you are are using our websites, application, technology and other services. This includes for example what search terms you have used. We use this information to enhance our services and ensure our Users receive the best experience and most suitable notification.

We also may collect through cookies data about usage information and log data such as your IP address.

Cookies:

We use cookies to identify you during your use of our services. You are able to control cookies within your browsers. By using our services you consent to the placement of cookies and in your browser and emails in accordance with this privacy policy.

Advertising:

We do not share your personal information with any third parties for advertising purposes. It should be noted that your profile as described above and subject to your privacy controls is visible, subject to those placing advertisements and notifications.

Information about your devices:

When you visit or leave our Services (whether as a Member or Visitor) by clicking a hyperlink or when you view a third-party site that includes our plugin or cookies (or similar technology), we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came or the one to which you are directed. Also, advertisers receive the URL of the page that you are on when you click an ad on or through our Services. Most mobile devices allow you to prevent real time location data being sent to us, and of course we will honour your settings.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

The information you provide to us may allow other users to identify you even your identity is not expressly made public on your profile. For example, you may elect to be anonymous however anonymity is not guaranteed. For example, if you have, or have had a unique job title, or if you enter personally identifying information in a free text field.

We have designed our services to minimise the possibility of this occurring through hiding certain information from your profile until you accept either a watchlist or full profile request from another user or company. However we accept no liability for personally identifying  information being revealed if you have entered it.

When providing personal information you expressly and voluntarily accept the terms of this privacy policy and agree to the ways we will process that information in accordance with this privacy statement.

You can withdraw your consent by requesting we remove your profile at any time by emailing remove@careerprivacy.com.

Any personal data (including special category data), entered into our systems by a candidate may be accessed by third party employers as outlined above, unless such access is revoked by the individual who entered it via their profile preferences. We do not accept liability for any omissions, errors or data breaches arising from data you have entered at your own risk.

If you are entering personal details on behalf of another individual, by using this site you are confirming that you have sought  and obtained explicit consent from that individual to enter such information on their behalf and that you would be able to demonstrate this consent as freely given and informed.

Careerprivacy.com, gbjpayroll.com and gbjpremier.com will accept no liability for information entered in error or without consent on behalf of another individual.

Age restrictions:

Careerprivacy.com, gbjpayroll.com and gbjpremier.com will not knowingly collect data of minors under 13 years of age. By using this website you are confirming that you are over 13 years of age and further that you will not enter details of individuals under 13 years of age on their behalf.

Subject Access Rights:

Under Data Protection legislation you have the right to request what information we process about you, and under certain circumstances you can request rectification, and erasure of that data. To make a request in relation to your subject access rights, please email: subjectaccess@careerprivacy.com

Communications:

We provide you with automated notifications when a User views your profile, you receive a watchlist request or full profile request and when posts of interest to you are submitted by other users, for example job postings.

Sharing Information with Third Parties:

All profile information may be viewed by third party users subject to the privacy controls mentioned above. All other information may also be searchable by third party users.

We will not share your information without your express consent, subject to the provisos and limitations above. We charge companies and recruiters for the various functionality that we offer such as watchlist requests, full profile requests and job postings.

Searches:

You can search organisations, vacancies and general posts made by third party users on the system. These searches are highly targeted through a common data set being presented to both the candidate and the party making the post.

Whilst your profile is in existence we retain the information you have entered in your profile information. If you have closed your account we may retain certain information to allow us to meet legal and regulatory obligations, in accordance with data protection legislation.

We may be required to disclose personal information if required by law or legal processes. We will use best practice to ascertain whether such disclosure is legal and that the request is in good faith. We will endeavour to inform you of such requests wheresoever possible.

You have a right to:

(1) access, modify, correct, or delete your personal information controlled by careerprivacy.com regarding your Career Privacy profile

(2) change or remove your content, and

(3) close your account by emailing us remove@careerprivacy.com

Security:

We have implemented HTTPS access to site as well as SSL access from mobile devices. Your password should be a strong password containing both letters, numbers, symbols and different cases.

Changes to Privacy Policy:

This policy may change from time to time- we will endeavour to inform you of any changes by email.

Marketing:

We will not contact you with services unrelated to services you have opted into. You can unsubscribe from updates at any time by emailing unsubscribe@careerprivacy.com
